Your First Week

Here’s what to focus on in your first few days:

Day 1: Access and Setup

1. Set up your device — Run the device setup script to configure endpoint security (CrowdStrike, 1Password, disk encryption, firewall)
2. Sign in to Google Workspace — Your @meridian7.io email is your primary identity for all systems
3. Join Slack — Connect with the team in our Slack workspace
4. Set up 1Password — Accept the team invitation and install the app + CLI

Day 2: Tools and Access

1. Review Essential Tools — Familiarize yourself with the tools we use
2. Access GitHub — Accept the org invitation and set up 2FA
3. Complete security training — Review the Information Security Policy and Acceptable Use Policy

Day 3+: Onboarding

1. Meet the team — Your manager will schedule introductions
2. Review project documentation — Explore the wiki and relevant repos
3. Complete your onboarding checklist — Your onboarding GitHub Issue tracks all required steps

Security First

Meridian Seven takes security seriously. All devices are personally owned (BYOD) and must meet our endpoint security requirements. The device setup script automates most of this — just run it and follow the prompts.
