Welcome Email Template

Reference copy of the welcome email. Use the Open Gmail Compose → link in the Onboarding Checklist to open Gmail with the subject and body pre-filled. Fill in the To: field with the employee’s work email and replace [First Name] and [email] before sending.

Note: The only communication sent to the employee’s personal email should be the Google Workspace temporary password via 1Password secure share. The welcome email, 1Password invite, Slack invite, and CrowdStrike enrollment all go to the Meridian7 work email.

Subject: Welcome to Meridian7! - Getting Started

Hi [First Name],

Welcome to Meridian7! We’re thrilled to have you on the team.

Here’s what you need to get set up:

Google Workspace Your work account is [email]@meridian7.io. Sign in at mail.google.com using the temporary password we sent separately. You’ll be prompted to set a new password on first login.

Right after that, set up Google 2-Step Verification:

  1. Go to myaccount.google.com/security
  2. Open 2-Step Verification
  3. Recommended: create a passkey on a phone or computer you personally own and use
  4. Also add Google Authenticator or another authenticator app as a backup method
  5. Download or print your backup codes and store them somewhere safe

If Google asks for 2-Step Verification before you finish setup and you’re blocked, message me right away. We’ll either give you a temporary recovery code or temporarily move your account into the enrollment exception group so you can finish setup.

1Password Check your Meridian7 email for a 1Password team invitation. Accept it and install 1Password on your device.

Slack Join our workspace at meridian7.slack.com with your work email.

CrowdStrike Falcon Watch for a separate enrollment email from CrowdStrike on your Meridian7 email. Install the Falcon sensor on your device when it arrives.

Your first-week checklist:

  1. Set up Google 2-Step Verification using a passkey or authenticator app
  2. Save your Google backup codes in a safe place - do not email them
  3. Set up 1Password (invitation sent to your Meridian7 email)
  4. Install Slack and join the workspace
  5. Install the CrowdStrike Falcon sensor (see enrollment email)
  6. Review our BYOD Endpoint Security Policy
